Supervision

I have a Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision and guide supervisees at all stages in their development, offering support both to trainee counsellors, qualified practitioners and other supervisors.

I try to create a nurturing, motivated environment where supervisees feel safe to explore their practice and encourage participation to share and enrich their learning.

I have worked as a Supervisor for thirteen years offering individual and Group Supervision to Bereavement Volunteers at Cruse Bereavement Care in the Coventry & Warwickshire area.

I also operate as a Supervisor of Supervision

As an Accredited member of the BACP I value and uphold their Ethical Framework and demonstrate this by ensuring I maintain appropriate and valid insurance for my work with supervisees.

I welcome inquiries from those seeking to secure Supervision throughout the UK.  I operate on a face to face basis out of Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.  It may also be possible to offer supervision as a home visit within those areas (Coronavirus restrictions permitting) providing the environment is quiet and undisturbed.

As a counselling student embarking on my first counselling placement, my time spent in Supervision has been invaluable. Jan has provided a safe, secure and supportive base for me to explore issues relating to client work and to myself. Jan’s breadth of experience and knowledge means I always leave with ideas to support and deepen my learning. I find her non-judgmental, warm, approach has enabled me to find clarity and perspective and I value both the challenge and the opportunity for reflection that Supervision brings for me. I think Jan has had the empathy and perception to quickly identify my needs in terms of Supervision and I feel that she has and  is meeting them completely.  Thank you

Jan has been my clinical supervisor for a year now and I have a high regard for her knowledge and clinical skills. Jan is extremely approachable, receptive and reassuring. Jan has really encouraged me and assisted my growth by facilitating my self-exploration, problem solving ability and confidence. I would not hesitate to recommend Jan to others.

“I knew very quickly when speaking to Jan for the first time that Jan was the supervisor for me. She is warm, knowledgeable and extremely approachable. It can be quite daunting looking for a supervisor but Jan immediately put me at ease. I have learnt so much from her that I will be able to take forward into my counselling career. I have always felt able to ask Jan about anything that I was having difficulty with, without fear of judgement or being left feeling silly. I would definitely recommend her!”
